Compassionate therapy for couples, families, and individuals.

Bryan Encarnação, LCMFT

"Hi, I’m Bryan—and I’m really glad you’re here.

I help couples improve communication, rebuild trust, and reconnect in meaningful ways. Whether you're stuck in a cycle of arguments, feeling distant, or recovering from conflict, therapy can help you find your way back to each other. I use evidence-based methods like the Gottman Method to guide you in breaking old patterns and building a stronger, more secure connection.

I also work with individuals and families navigating challenges and difficult transitions. Together, we will focus on growth, stronger relationships, and overall well-being. We'll identify and build on your strengths while remaining mindful of areas for improvement, working collaboratively towards a happier, more meaningful life.

I’m not only a therapist. I’m also a product of therapy. My own experience taught me how powerful it can be to feel seen, challenged, and supported by a caring professional. Working with me is direct, collaborative, and always tailored to you. If you’re ready to take that next step, I’d be honored to walk with you.

I utilize the following modalities when applicable.

    • Focuses on accessing and processing emotions through present-moment experiences and not just talking about problems

    • Uses creative techniques like role-play, body awareness, and symbolic work to uncover stuck emotional patterns

    • Prioritizes authentic connection between therapist and client as a key part of the healing process

    • Views individuals not in isolation, but as part of larger, interconnected systems

    • Emphasizes that thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are shaped by their roles and interactions within these systems

    • Explores patterns, feedback loops, and communication dynamics that influence the client’s experience. Shift dysfunctional patterns, improve relational functioning, and support healthier, more adaptive systems

    • Focuses on psychological flexibility. Avoid getting stuck in difficult thoughts and feelings

    • Combines acceptance with action. Take meaningful action aligned with your personal values

    • Helps reduce struggle with thoughts. The goal is to reduce the impact of negative thoughts

    • Takes the whole person into account. Not only your thoughts or symptoms.

    • We’ll examine things like stress, nervous system regulation, sleep, exercise, and even nutrition.

    • This doesn’t mean therapy turns into a wellness checklist, but it is important to explore your lifestyle and work towards lasting, positive changes.

    • Examines how your thoughts, feelings, and actions influence each other

    • Helps you spot thought patterns that might be feeding negative emotions

    • Less about digging into the past and more about right now

    • Research proven techniques to strengthen communication, build emotional connection, and manage conflict

    • Focus on friendship (the foundation for any relationship), intimacy, and shared meaning

    • Guide couples toward healthier interactions, trust-building, and long-term success.
